Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using ObligoBoard you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

ObligoBoard is operated from Italy. References to “we”, “us”, or “our” mean ObligoBoard.

2. The service

ObligoBoard is a compliance-tracking tool that helps organisations manage obligations, tasks, and evidence. It is provided on a subscription basis (Software-as-a-Service).

ObligoBoard is not legal advice. We provide a tracking and organisation tool — not legal, regulatory, or professional advice. You are responsible for ensuring your own compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@obligoboard.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Free trial

New accounts receive a 14-day free trial. No payment card is required to start a trial. At the end of the trial you can subscribe to a paid plan or your access to paid features will be restricted.

5. Subscriptions and billing

• Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe.
• Prices are displayed in your selected currency (EUR or GBP) and include applicable taxes where required.
• You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will not be charged again.
• We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

6. Your data

You own your data. All content you upload or create in ObligoBoard (tasks, notes, evidence files, organisation data) remains yours. We do not claim any ownership or intellectual property rights over your content.

You grant us a limited licence to host, store, and display your data solely to provide the service. This licence ends when you delete your data or close your account.

7. Data retention after cancellation

When you cancel your subscription, your data is retained for 90 days. During this period you can contact us to export your data or reactivate your account. After 90 days your data is permanently deleted.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use ObligoBoard for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the service
• Upload malicious code or content
• Resell or redistribute the service without our written consent

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

9. Availability

We aim to keep ObligoBoard available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience downtime due to circumstances beyond our control. We will try to notify you of planned maintenance in advance.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ObligoBoard and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities.

Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Italy. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Italy.

UK users: nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law. If there is a conflict between these terms and your UK statutory rights, your statutory rights will prevail.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of ObligoBoard after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
